I went to visit a friend from my school days who lived in the twin cities of Superior and Duluth on the shores of Lake Superior. The two towns, separated by a bridge are in two different states, so it's cheaper to buy certain products on one side of the bridge than the other due to sales tax differences. It was in winter time (as you probably guessed from the snow) and everybody asked me why on earth I chose to visit then.
